Hi there to all.
I have an RTL Dongle that I want to calibrate for frequency accuracy.
I am living in Australia and do not know of any accurate signals to use as a frequency reference.
Does anyone have any ideas around this problem thanks.

Baden,

There are some ideas here:

By far the best approach is to get a GPSDO, such as:

Yes, it costs, but the Chinese ones on eBay are about the same price, and
limited to just 10 MHz. I was surprised by the price of the eBay ones when
I looked then up! Be aware that a cheap dongle will drift especially with
temperature.

Cheers,
David

How tight of tolerances are you looking for?  I know the broadcast signals here in the USA must hold to very tight tolerances.  And if you call up the chief engineer, he might even tell you the exact frequency he is broadcasting on to the fourth or fifth decimal.  Our radio station here in Las Vegas is running at 90.5MHz but the calibrated counter is actually reading 90.50065, +/- 40 Hz.
