Hi,

I have several EzTV668 (RT2832/E4000) dongles that I am pretty happy
with. I thought I would try something different this time around and
try something like the EzTV645 which has the FC0013 & RTL2832U.

I was reading on the rtlsdr.org wiki that the FC0013 has a tuning range
from 50 MHz - 1700 MHz as compared to the E4000 which is 60 MHz to 1700 MHz.

Can anyone with a FC0013 verify this? I was interested in playing
around on 6 meters with this. I was just wondering how well this would
do on 6 meters?

My fc0013 definitely does not work below 60 and over 900 mhz
Maybe the high bound limitation is a software problem.

Perhaps try the R820T based dongle, as long as you use SDR# with it.
I can get mine down to 25Mhz it seems, and with good sensitivity.

I got mine here for $10

My fc0013 does work below 60 mHz
have a look at the August 2 - 2012 item
http://johnmarsyla.blogspot.nl/

Dongle Terratec Noxon DAB Stick
that also works on 50 mHz too

Best regards,

John/HOL

Hi:

There is a major difference between FC0013 and E4000.
FC0013 has two RF input pins which are UHF/VHF input pin and L-Band input pin.
The frequency range of UHF/VHF is from 40 MHz to 1GHz, and the frequency range of LBand is from 800 MHz to 1.7 GHz.
This design allows to put two different filters in front of RF input pins.
E4000 has one RF input which covers Lband/UHF/VHF frequency range.
