Hi
i have not seen a thread on SDR Touch, so i thought of starting thread on SDR Touch. SDR touch is RTL SDR software client for
android device.

More information can be found in http://sdr.martinmarinov.info/ . Currently the software is capable of demodulate  WFM, AM, NFM, USB, LSB, DSB, CWU and CWL signals. The pro version is 5.99 Pound.

What is required to run the software on android phone/tablet/mini sub pc?

1:Android Phone/Tablet/USB mini Pc with ICS and more
2:The phone should be rooted
3:OTG cable required for Mobile/Tablet/or normal USB male to male cable for devices which have dediacted USB Host Port
4:USB powered HUB (may or may not be required depending on current capability of your device)
5:Phone should have USB host capability (in Kernel Code)
6:SDR Touch software

The app is not available in Google Play. It has been removed from Google Play due to complaint from another popular SDR software for RTL SDR(We are not getting into it further)

I have run SDR Touch on my Mini usb android pc dongle (Amlogic chipset) with powered USB hub. I have attached few screen shots. The display is projected to LCD TV.

Give a try.

Anything else but WFM don't work properly (in comparison to #SDR, HDSDR or any other). Also development is going wrong way - if(when) there is an issue with main oscillator in the RTL stick been offset, you don't fix the issue by having a fixed offset in the SW, should be relative correction to the frequency E4000 is tuned to. Just to mention a few.

SW is not available in google play as there are ongoing copyright issues.

Regretting I paid it.

Just some more input on problems:
Hardware used Acer A500 tablet with ics with upconverter

1.  DSB mode just has a tone that is intermitting
2.  AGC you get a strong signal and the volume decreases
3.   offset does work
4.    USB and LSB need to looked again audio very weak.

Hi Fred.  Did you get SDR Sharp to work with the A500?

I have an A500 with the EZcap RTL2832 tuner.  The driver just "sits and spins".  I'm not sure if a special OTG cable is needed, and which USB port to use, big or small.  Any insight?

I was able to successfully install SDR Touch on my A500.  I uninstalled the driver, then plugged in the ezcap dongle, then reinstalled the driver.  Initially I did not have the dongle plugged in during the install.  It is plugged in directly to the USB "A" sized receptacle, not the small one.

I was about to make a strange comment until a quick trip to Google showed
that Acer has recycled the A500 designation which was so famous 15+ years
ago. Getting rtlsdr to work on an Amiga A500 would be a real achievement!

What about Atari ST?

Seriously, this 'SDR Touch' program is the best reason I've seen in a long time
to buy me an Android tablet (second-hand Galaxy tab?). But does this software
work with a FUNcube (original FC dongle or Dongle Pro+)?

Had anyone been able to use SDR Touch to access a remote rtl_tcp server? It hasn't worked for me on the free version; will gladly pay for the upgrade if I can figure out how to get it to work. I can access it remotely with SDR# no problem.
