This Terratec stick is fully compatible with ExtIO? I have always the message "Could not find compatible device".
With Cinergy T Stick Black (Rev 1.0) all is ok :-(

Tanks

Hello Enrico,

I've got the same sick with the same problem. The installation is no problem at all, but the device control generate the following message: could not find a compatible device.
After some surfing on the web, I found a newer version of Zadig. This version is stand alone, without the plug-in and so on.
After installing I have started a program called SDR Sharp a.k.a. SDR# (nightly build).

After choosing the RTL-SDR module, the stick comes to life and stations appear above the noise.

I think that if this new Zadig gets implemented in the ExtIO software, our stick is fully compliant with HDSDR and also usable with BorIP and GNUradio.

Have you tried specifying the USB IDs manually? SDR# probably has a newer
list than ExtIO_USRP, so you might just have to specify the USB IDs manually
for the time being. You can do this by setting the hint to "RTL vid=0x1234
pid=0x1234" where 1234 are the ID numbers for your USB device. Google can
help if you don't know how to find the device IDs.

Cheers,
Adam.

Hallo Remco and Adam,

many thanks for your answers.

Meanwhile I found this solution: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/ultra-cheap-sdr/LKldlLDINRE (ExtIO_RTLSDR), and now choosing ExtIO_RTLSDR on window request, Cynergy T Stick RC HD works perfect  on HDSDR (like #SDR).

Now I try also with yours suggestions.

Cheers

Hello Enrico and Adam,

I’ve found a solution also. First of all (although it sounds a little bit weird) using another usb port was a part of it. The second part was some tweaking with the device hint. I’ve tried all the parameters that I could find on the net. The string that works for me is:

 RTL readlen=8129 vid=0x0CCD pid=0x00D3 tuner=e4

I haven’t had time to fiddle more with the readlen parameter, but I want to find an optimum in that too.

Thanks for the newer drivers. Also very interesting to find out more about that.

Kind regards,
