Ho Dragon Army!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the fine weather out there.  It has been great to see some of you out at Fright Flight and at league.  The captains have been talking and wanted to provide an update to the team about the off season and next year.

As you know, Jess, Rich, Kevin and Jen were captains for Dragon Army's inaugural year, with Dan as our practice captain.  We had a wonderful time working with you all and are excited about the future of this team.  We were committed to getting a new team in Boulder started, and couldn't have done it without all of you.

One of the things that makes us excited about next year is that soon after the season ended, a couple people approached the captains and were already thinking strategically about next season - that would be Chris (Teacup) and James.  They are thinking about how to move the team forward and have great ideas and plans, so we are thrilled to announce a transition in leadership!

We are welcoming Chris and James as the new captains of Dragon Army, and I will stay on as lady captain to help out.  But Chris and James will be doing the heavy lifting - organizing, planning, stratemegizing, on field captaining, running practice, etc.

We thank Dan for his tireless commitment to the team - but as he noted, it is important that whoever is coaching practice be there for the tournament games.  Therefore, Chris will be running practices, with Dan visiting to do clinics occasionally much like Nate did this past season.

So what does this mean for you??  It means that you will be getting emails from Chris and James about plans for the team, and about workouts over the winter that you can do to keep in shape for the spring.  In February, they will be checking in with everyone to see who is in for another season!  That will help them determine how many spots they need to fill in try outs.  Folks who came out regularly to Dragon Army practices and want to continue will not have to try out. As we all know, this is a great group of people to play with.  I hope you will return to play-- Chris' and James' enthusiasm and commitment to the team bode well for next year.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns, otherwise - have some fun with the princess in the off season!

Ho Dragon Army. I have an extra ticket to the CU football game this Saturday at 11:30 AM. As some of you may be aware, CU is currently ranked #1 in the nation thanks to Alabama's loss last weekend so this matchup against Washington should be an epic once in a lifetime event.

First one to respond gets to go with me and a few other select people. Spoiler alert: we will boozing and potentially shirtless.
