Ho Dragon Army!

Great weekend everyone - as always it was a privilege and pleasure to play with you all!  Way to claw back in our first game Sunday and win our second.  Playing this weekend felt gooooood. It's like crack.  So we have created a couple more chances to play!

As we mentioned we will be hosting "Dragon Army Scrimmage with Friends" the next two Wednesdays on the lighted fields in Louisville.

Time: 6:00 PM
Location:  1200 Courtesy Road, Louisville, CO (MAP), ours is the north-east field.

This is not an open pickup, but rather a chance for us to keep playing together, keep having fun playing ultimate while the weather is still good, use up the fields we paid for, and invite some friends to join us.  There will be no drills, this is just scrimmage - but please do be sure to warm up! ;)

For those of you not here this weekend, Sectionals was our last for-sure tournament together.  Unfortunately, we did not get a bid to Fright Flight.  We have a good chance of getting in from the wait list as we are in the top three, but there is no guarantee.  So if you want to whore out to another team, by all means - try and get there any way you can!  It's a super fun tournament.  If we do get in, we will definitely take a team no matter what.  It's a disappointment, but there may be some other options to play together again in smaller tournaments.  We will post to the listserve if we hear about opportunities, you should do the same if you have ideas.

I also wanted to especially thank Kevin Z and Dan  for getting this team started - without their decision to step up and start a new team, Dragon Army would never have happened!  So thank you so much you two, we all really appreciate your impetus to get something new in Boulder started and all of your hard work in running our finances and running our practices.  Many thanks from a grateful team!

Looking back on the season, I can see how each individual has improved (me too!) and how our team has gelled and come together to play like a team and not a bunch of individuals.  Thanks so much, everyone, for your hard work, commitment, and positive energy.  We began the season planning to play with heart and spirit (cheezy at it sounded) - thanks to everyone for taking that seriously, it made for a great experience this season.  Like Jess said at the end of the day, we had a great first season as an inaugural team!  Dragon Army rocks!

Have some fun - do things with the princess... and then come out on Wednesday!!

Sincerely,
Jen

Jen, Jess, Kevin, Dan, I just wanted to say thanks so much to you all for putting this awesome team together. I know captaining and coaching are mostly thankless jobs that take more time and energy than most people understand, so kudos to you guys and I am already excited for next year! Hopefully next year no one else I know will decide to get married over Sectionals weekend.

Ho!
