Dear Nationals Federations (Secretaries General and Administrators),
WFDF, as a signatory to WADA’s World Anti-Doping Code, is committed to clean sport.
The WFDF Anti-Doping Rules apply to each National Federation, its Athletes and Athlete Support Personnel.
Please find below further information:
Per the WFDF Bylaws and Anti-Doping Rules, National Federations have specific responsibilities related to Anti-Doping, including: Mechanism for reporting doping: Promote an open environment that encourages Athletes, Athlete Support Personnel and other whistleblowers to report on doping and other non-compliant situations. Obligation to pursue and report all apparent Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs): Ensure that all information, intelligence, direct or indirect evidence of a potential ADRV committed by an individual under your jurisdiction, is brought to the attention of WFDF on a timely basis (directly or through the relevant anti-doping organization). Reporting and Results Management obligations: Timely and efficient reporting, processing, and enforcement of doping cases/decisions in strict accordance with the procedures and timelines set out under WFDF Anti-Doping Rules and the International Standard for Results Management. National Federation Personnel: Take all reasonable measures to ensure that all National Federation personnel and Athlete Support Personnel are of good character and repute and that the risk of doping in relation to their engagement is minimized. Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs): Testing: Take all reasonable steps to ensure that Athletes selected in the National Team for WFDF Sanctioned Events and Championships are subject to Testing prior to the event and that the samples are collected by the relevant ADO or other relevant sample collection authority in compliance with the International Standard for Testing and Investigations. Education: Use best endeavors to ensure that Athletes selected in the National Team for WFDF Sanctioned Events and Championships and all Athletes Support Personnel under your jurisdiction are subject to mandatory education programs on main anti-doping issues. Ensure that all education at the National-Level is provided in cooperation with the NADO or RADO.
