On behalf of the Spirit of the Game Commission, please find below further information about the International Spirit of the Game Day 2024:

WFDF’s International Spirit of the Game Day is held annually on the first Saturday of December, falling in 2024 on December 7th.

To enable all Flying Disc communities to celebrate SOTG, the format of iSOTGDay 2024 is community-led! A simple iSOTGDay Planning Sheet was created to help individuals, teams, clubs, federations and our wider communities to organise a fun and meaningful event, The initiatives worldwide with the best impact and reach will be highlighted on WFDF’s social media. 

iSOTGDay is a great opportunity not just to celebrate SOTG, but to recruit young or new players to the sport, engage with communities outside of Flying Disc sports and to engage with brands. Some ideas of what could be fun celebrations:

• Engage with your team, clubs or communities to discuss the importance, challenges and learnings within SOTG
• Organising beginner clinics, games or even tournaments to attract new players and introduce the concept of SOTG
• Share your SOTG experiences, challenges and learnings through online platforms and social media, tagging them with #iSOTGDay
• Try out a new disc sport, scavenger hunts or any other fun activities
• Produce SOTG-themed products or give SOTG-related discounts
