Subject: WFDF: Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Course [OPPORTUNITY]
To:
Dear WFDF Members in Europe (Secretaries General and Administrators),
WFDF, in collaboration with TAFISA, is pleased to offer an educational opportunity targeted towards current or aspiring female-matching coaches, sport leaders and managers working with female-matching youth and adults in Flying Disc sports.
With this, we invite Members and their communities to identify and register interested female-matching participants by having them fill out the form below by the outlined deadline. Please find more information below.
- Course Description: The Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Course is a program that effectively addresses gender inequality in sports. Through the use of toolkits such as Coaching Her, Body Confidence Sport, and Safeguarding in Sport for All, participants are empowered to create a positive and inclusive environment that inspires female matching youth and adults to participate fully in sports. The Course streamlines the coaching process and creates a path that encourages female matching youth and adults to be confident, strong, and successful in the sport. It focused on addressing the obstacles that female matching youth and adults face in sports. During the Course sessions, participants will benefit from both top-down presentations and peer learning. This will include sharing knowledge and experiences and introducing good practices. There will also be bottom-up interactive sessions that involve group work and brainstorming activities. After completing the Course, these sessions will help participants reflect on their situations and create practical applications to return to coaching and impact female matching youth and adults in their communities.
- Dates: The course will be delivered across 2x sessions: November 9th at 17:30-20:30 CET and November 11th at 18:30-21:30 CET.
- Registration Fee: N/A - Open (Free).
- Delivery Language: English.
- Delivery Platform: WFDF Academy and Google Meet.
- Facilitator: Delivered by a facilitator with Flying Disc experience.
- Certificates: Participants in the Course will receive certificates of participation if they complete the course conditions (i.e., attendance, engagement and completion of surveys).
