Hello,

I've recently installed and tested OVD 3 onto ubuntu-10.04.2. All seemed to be working fine but after I restarted my server I'm getting a problem with sessions ending automatically when connecting.

I'm able to login and see the list of applications on the left hand side but they never become active to click and then the following message is shown:

Your session has ended, you can now close the window
Click here to start a new session
My Session options are:

Default mode for session - Applications
Default language for session English
Default timeout for session None
User can launch... Y
User can use a console... N
Multimedia Y
Redirect client drives full
Redirect client printers Y
RDP bpp 16
Enhance user experience Y
Enable user profiles N
Enable shared folders Y
Launch a session even when...Y
Forceable paramaters by users YYYY

Enable Remote Desktop Y
Sessions are persistent Y
Show icons on user desktop Y
Allow external applications...Y
Desktop type Any
Servers which are allowed...*

Enable Remote Applications Y

I've seen some other posts and have confirmed I can reach the server over 3389 (RDP) and both 80 and 443 TCP ports. I've also checked the SESSION LOG and can see some errors:

ERROR - (client/logout) return_error (1, Usage: missing "session_id" $_SESSION parameter)

Session end : 'UID' (Reason : 'logout')

CRITICAL - Link to SQL server failed

I can't understand why the server has suddenly decided to stop accepting sessions, I've rebooted and restarted the subsystem and verified the IP the ports are all working.

I noticed the console was showing a Fully Qualified Domain Name message when restarting the subsystem but as I'm using the same server as Session and Application Managers I didn't think this would be an issue, and this didn't affect anything when I was first testing the system.

Has anyone run into this problem without it being a FW problem?

Cheers

Chris

Ah ha!

My own silly fault in the end, I'd changed the IP address of the server at some point and the Redirection Name under the Configuration area of Servers was now mismatched.

Changed and working!

Cheers

Hello, I have the same issue, and I've already set the correct IP address. What's the matter?

How did you configured the Redirection Name?

Thanks very much.
