Unable to launch a session

when i entered the username & password it was show the launching a session. but it shows unable to launch a session contact your administrator

From what I have learned so far, in the Administration Console from login page (ip address of your Session Manager in your webbrowser on a client computer in your network attached to your server or over the Internet to your server), in Applications, under Publications, you should have a User Group where specific user or specific group with specific user in it (dpaul) is mapped to an Application group that has webapp in it. Also look under same place (Applications) for Web Applications and Application Groups. I just put everyone (or just one user if you only start with one) everywhere first and create all app groups (application groups and web applications) with any applications in it. Then if it works you can remove some and see where you need to leave something.

Still, problem was not solved.

Apr 18 15:25:58 - 127.0.0.1 - ERROR - No desktop server available for user dpaul
Apr 18 15:25:58 - 127.0.0.1 - ERROR - (client/start) No desktop server found for User "dpaul", aborting
Apr 18 15:25:58 - 127.0.0.1 - ERROR - (client/start) throw_response('service_not_available')

Anyone fixed it ?

I have found many problems with both Ulteo and a very similar product called inuvika. Only ThinLinc actually works. Switch to ThinLinc. They allow up to ten uses free with complete functionality. They do not have virtual image file for the server, but you can install in a virtual Ubuntu 14.04 that you made yourself, or just install ThinLinc server on bare metal Ubuntu server.

Hello Suresh,

No desktop server indicates that you have not defined the "Servers which are allowed to start desktop" parameter under User Groups, Remote Desktop Settings or Under Configuration --> Session Settings.

See the screenshots:  Under Configuration -->Session Settings




Under User Groups --> Remote Desktop Settings:



Without these settings, the sessions will not load.

Hey Suresh,

You wouldn't happen to be using some kind of Linux container for your implementation like LXC or other containerized Linux?

Hi All,

I have this ERROR message , on my session server it was working good and than show me this error message :

ERROR - (client/session_status) return_error(1, Usage: missing "session_id" $_SESSION parameter)
