upgrade and install packages on app server

hi all,

how do i upgrade and install packages like firefox, chrome, remina on the application server?

i get this error while trying to install firefox, can anyone help please -

 apt-get install firefox

hi, 

i have installed firefox 42 or other using the tar.gz file from mozilla website 

extract it to /opt/ulteo/opt

with phpmyadmin or other , modify path in database  for firefox bin to /usr/bin/firefox

 you should have the later version now

cant i just set a static application in the admin control panel and point it to the firefox folder
