Ulteo Open Virtual Desktop (OVD) v3 is available now!

February, 8th 2012 - Ulteo OVD v3 final release: Ulteo, the commercial
Open Source startup is proud to announce the release of its final
remote application and desktop delivery solution, OVD v3.0.
"This is a big milestone for us", says Gaël Duval, CTO and co-founder
of Ulteo. It represents a 18 months R&D effort to build this v3. We
took into account the most important feedback we have received from
the 2.5 and put it into the v3. This means, for instance, the ability
to publish Linux and/or Windows applications (with RDS/TS), in Desktop
or Portal mode, to map local drives, to print, to integrate with
portals, to use Ulteo with iPad and Android devices, to install native
linux or Windows client for seamless integration experience on the end
user desktop, to use Ulteo in both LAN and WAN (via a Ulteo Gateway),
etc.

The new OVD v3 core architecture will allow to add new features more
rapidely and more easily. We are going to be very as reactive as
possible to customers feedback and projects. We will also offer the
possibility to co-fund OVD extensions or additional features for
medium and large projects needs", he concludes.

A much awaited OVD v3:
In the process of building the OVD v3, some projects could not wait
and a few organizations have been already paying to use it in
production or have started pre-production projects, waiting for this
final release.

"The amount of interest for the OVD v3 has grown very quickly since
fall 2011. People feel it's ready to go in production", comments
Thierry Koehrlen, CEO & co-founder.

"IT persons are sending daily feedback and are really validating our
unique key value proposition in the remote application and virtual
desktop publication market. They like our Linux support mixed with the
Windows environment, or just the usage in a pure Windows environment.
They appreciate the possibility to extend/customize the OVD. And
finally they love the commercial annual subscription business model
that really lowers the barrier for many more projects. Everyday people

Ulteo is building different partners programs and new commercial
offerings that will be announced soon. It will help Ulteo to

requests of hundreds of potential partners (integrators, resellers,
