Praises, critics, and insults are the things that seems to be inseparable from every Windows version release. Some called Windows 11 as a revolutionary update, while others considered it as a stepback instead of an improvement.

Microsoft has been trying to convince users that Windows 11 is safer than its older siblings, but it requires a few things for the upgrade to happen. There is a chance that you might have to buy a new CPU if you insist on getting your hands on the latest operating system no matter what it takes.

The first and foremost issue that makes so many people stick to the previous version is the TPM requirement. Not every computer is equipped with a TPM security chip and therefore lacks the ability to run Windows 11. There are workarounds but they are unofficial and could lead to other issues when another update is released.

Also, most casual users do not know what TPM actually is and whether their computers support the technology or not. Consequently, upgrading from previous versions to Windows 11 is considered a chore to many.

If you successfully upgrade to Windows 11, you will see a lot of new things within the operating system. For instance, tabs in File Explorer. For users who sticks to File Explorer, this feature is perhaps one of the most welcomed changes. For those who already have their own favorite file managers, such as Q-Dir which offers tabs in multiple side-by-side panels since ages ago, the improvement is probably not as helpful as it is supposed to be.

The taskbar buttons are now centered in the middle along with the Start menu. The way they look seem to be more inviting, which might be trivial to some but a big deal to casual users who put more importance to design than functionality.

Snap Assist is yet another improvement that makes snapping windows easier than it used to be. It provides a pop-up window that contains several layout options to arrange the windows. Hovering your pointer over the minimize/maximize button of a window will trigger the pop-up window to appear.

The default browser in Windows 11 is Microsoft Edge, and some functionality within the operating system is tightly integrated with the browser that users have to find a workaround just to be able to access those functionalities with their own choice of browsers.

Just like any other big releases, there are things to like and dislike from Windows 11. TPM, Secure Boot, and usability are a few of the main reasons of why many users are hell-bent on sticking to Windows 10 or even Windows 7.

Even though there are many dissatisfactions toward the latest operating system, your experience might be the opposite. The best way to figure out if Windows 11 suits your preferences or not is to give it a shot yourself. You can click the link below to download Windows 11 64-bit ISO:
