Yuri's Message: "If you've received this message, it means I'm dead. To carry my psychic legacy, you must know the truth and this is the only truth I can give you now. Decades ago, I whispered words of persuasion as an Adviser to Stalin, fueling his drive for world domination, while in the conquered nations my own PsiCorps searched for more of us, those gifted with terrific powers. Having lost grasp on the world, I've been forced back into hiding by the Allies until their influence has weakened and a puppet premier has been appointed. I managed to make my way back into the Kremlin and continued my search, gathering subjects from all around the world. Our powers kept growing, but eventually I realized it was all futile; with all my knowledge I could not understand the reason why we came to be. For years I've worked persistently to further my research and my own capabilities, but my mind was not enough - I couldn't learn the truth alone.
The technology works, Libra is a living proof of that - the prototype hivemind I created from and by connecting the psychics I managed to find, channeling and reinforcing their powers. That's why for every psychic killed, she lives through a death, which turned her unstable. But death is inevitable and the hivemind must learn to suffer through it. With her experiences, she will make the foundation of this psychic network and once the Mental Omega Device is activated, Libra will learn and speak all the words of the world - if she can handle them, that is.
As Rahn and the Epsilon Headquarters taskforce sent to defend the Mental Omega Device arrived from the Southern Cross regiment's rear, Libra herself made a dynamic entry into their base via a paradrop and ravaged their base with an Omega Storm, destroying a large portion of it in the process. Unprepared for their arrival and completely caught off-guard by the female commando's devastating potential, the European Alliance's elite force was decimated in a matter of minutes - supported by the greatly enhanced Libra herself, the Headquarters armored division pushed towards left of their starting position and mopped up the remains before Rahn authorized an establishment of an outpost from where their initial adversary's base once stood.
Though the Headquarters forces accompanying Libra weren't spared from heavy casualties, the damage was done. The Allies' upper front had completely fallen, allowing the Epsilon to shift their main focus towards the bottom side as they rapidly dug into their positions and began bringing more forces into the area.
The loss of the Southern Cross regiment did not dissuade the Allies as they continued to intensify their attacks via chronoshifted reinforcements and support from the Pacific Front's Boomerang regiment. The Proselyte was advised to get Libra to the Mental Omega Device as soon as possible - the urgency became even more apparent when the last Mental Dynamo was destroyed and the Tower itself was no longer invincible. The deactivation of the barriers for the massive construction and the Ganzir Defenders protecting it gave the Allies the cue to throw even more airstrikes at it, though they suffered heavy casualties doing so.
Knowing that the Tower was durable but not indestructible without the psychic shielding protecting it, Libra continued slaughtering anyone that dared to stand between her and the device that would make Yuri's vision a reality. After many bloody skirmishes, she reached the foot of the Mental Omega Device and wasted no time entering it. Now it was only a matter of time before it could be fully charged and bring the entire world under 'one mind'.
Libra's entry into the massive construction initiated the charging sequence of the Mental Omega Device - within ten minutes, it would be activated and all remaining resistance across the globe would be inevitably neutralized. All the remaining Epsilon forces in the area dug in and braced for the endless waves of Allies that charged at the plateau from all directions - although all they needed to do was to hold their positions and defend the Tower until it was ready, this was easier said than done. The Allies sent waves after waves of aircraft to relentlessly bombard the Tower, and each subsequent hit it took would delay its activation. As the Epsilon Construction Yard in the core base was destroyed, the Proselyte was unable to fortify the area with additional defenses or construct replacement buildings - with only a Barracks and War Factory at his disposal, he gave the orders to deploy as much infantry and armor as possible. Casualties did not matter as all he needed to do was wait patiently and the Mental Omega Device would take care of the rest.
Rahn's taskforce finally received their Mobile Construction Vehicle and commenced the establishment of a new base in the upper right sector of the battlefield. The HQ commando promised that the base would be handed over to the Proselyte at a later point, and reminded him to send some reinforcements if necessary. The Proselyte's advisor stated that this was an optional objective, as the protection of the Mental Omega Device was their primary task. More reinforcements arrived just right of the site in the form of HQ armored vehicles, including an Aerial Fortress Irkalla and some Hazequads. These additional forces were used to break down more Allied lines in their immediate sector before they moved towards the Antarctic hinterland to assist in the defense.
Thankfully, the last four Ganzir Defenders made the task of defending the site far easier - their long-ranged dissolver beams melted approaching infantry and vehicles as if they weren't even there, and any aircraft unfortunate enough to fly into their ranges were vaporized in seconds. An additional air armada consisting of yet another Irkalla soon arrived from the bottom side and wasted no time reinforcing the faltering defense around the Tower. The Allies had already eliminated all the defensive structures, destroyed the last production buildings, and what remained of the original defense were the Ganzirs and some infantry.
The ten minutes seemed like an eternity for the Epsilon, but the Allies had ultimately failed to destroy the titanic construction within that time frame - now with the Mental Omega Device fully charged and ready, the entire world would know no more free will, but only Yuri's will. All Epsilon forces could finally breathe a sigh of relief as they finally reached the end of this brutal war while finally emerging from the ruins as victors at long last...
...or so they initially thought. Moments before the Tower could unleash its psychic waves that would blanket the entire Earth, the Paradox Engine activated its Time Freeze and froze the entire battlefield and every non-Allied entity - including Yuri's Tower itself. The Proselyte could only watch helplessly as his battlefield control was taken offline and the reality was apparent - now that the Mental Dynamos were no longer protecting the Mental Omega Device, it could freely move in and destroy the Tower with no resistance. Once the battlefield controls were restored, almost all remaining Epsilon units and structures, including the Ganzir Defenders were destroyed.
However, the unexpected happened - Libra herself was unaffected by the Time Freeze as the Chrono Backpack she possessed made her immune to its effects. Racing against time as the last of the Epsilon forces were still frozen and were systemically being eliminated by the Allies, the Proselyte took command of Libra and destroyed any Allied units that dared to venture near the site. She also noticed the two Allied commandos emerging from the tunnel entrance that led to the underground fortress, but she paid no heed to them - it would take the duo a while before they could reach the plateau. Matters took a turn for the worse as the Allies started summoning Lightning Storms on the Tower itself, damaging it significantly but it still managed to hold - for the time being. But the real question was this: where was the Paradox Engine?
Libra received her answer as the Paradox Engine, escorted by a sizable armada of Warhawks, Cryocopters, and Thor Gunships advanced from the upper left, wiping out what little Epsilon resistance remained with minimal effort. Even the two Irkallas could only slow down the Allied advance as they too eventually fell to the overwhelming onslaught. The PsiCorps heroine immediately chronoshifted herself forward and confronted the air armada, shooting down as many of the escorting aircraft as possible while making sure to stay far away from the prism cannons that the Engine possessed. A handful of anti-air forces had also arrived from the upper side and while they too were wiped out, they managed to moderately damage the Paradox Engine with Libra.
Though the Epsilon failed to destroy the Paradox Engine, they were able to force it to retreat as it had prematurely activated the Time Freeze while not at maximum power, which depleted all of its remaining energy reserves. This bought some much-needed time for the Epsilon to recollect themselves and plan their next move. It was clear to them that even with Libra now at near-max potential and all the weapons they had available from their insidious arsenal, they were still no match for the Allies' trump card despite their forces and resources dwindling with each casualty they took. They needed a new approach, and quickly - once the Allies fully recharged the Engine, it would go after Yuri's Tower again and the Epsilon weren't sure if they could stop it a second time.
Both the Allies and the Epsilon hastily withdrew the bulk of their forces to reestablish the bulk of their forces and numbers. In particular, even though the European Southern Cross suffered immeasurable casualties at the hands of Libra and the HQ vanguard forces, they still possessed a strong presence in the area and regrouped with the main Allied Commander's forces and the Pacific Front Boomerang Division. The Epsilon sent MCVs to the core base where the Mental Omega Device was located and to the bottom right plateau where their original airbase was located, while additional ones were sent to the front to establish a perimeter against the Allies.
