Historical Hourly Temperature Data

Hi All, 

Does ulmo currently support NCDC hourly historical data (from the QCLCD dataset), the type you might find here? If not, are there any plans to add this functionality to ulmo? Alternatively, does anybody have any recommendations for other resources which might be used to acquire hourly historical weather data?

Hi Ian,

Ulmo currently does not support that particular dataset. In terms of new functionality, datasets added to ulmo are driven by what folks needs and are able to contribute. For example, I need various raster datasets for a project and so I'm working towards making those available in ulmo. If you end up writing some scripts to get the QCLCD dataset, I'd be happy to help you with some pointers on how to make them part of ulmo but outside of that, there are no plans to work on this dataset. I haven't really had to deal with hourly weather data, so I'm not too familiar with what else is out there.
