Hi!

Is it possible to retrieve the drainage area for a USGS gauge using ulmo? Queries like:

ulmo.usgs.nwis.get_site_data('01434084')
ulmo.cuahsi.wof.get_site_info(wsdl_url='http://river.sdsc.edu/wateroneflow/NWIS/DailyValues.asmx?WSDL', site_code='NWISDV:01434084')

return a lot of metadata, but I can't see the drainage area amongst them. Am I missing something?

Hi Ciaran,

I had a quick look. Looks like the USGS web service only returns drainage area if you specifically specify that you want 'expanded site information'. Ulmo doesn't currently have a way to specify this option. It should be pretty straight forward to add it. If you are interested in trying let me know and I'll give you some guidance, otherwise I'll put it on our to do list (no guarantees when we'll get to it).

The usgs website is http://waterservices.usgs.gov/rest/Site-Test-Tool.html
