Hmm i haven't seen that, altho i did rebuild udev 175 for unity.
I also built a new ldetect and drakxtools.

I had quite a bit of problems with the old udev, but I suspect this has to do with mdv's old drakxtools.

I updated to the new udev 175 ldetect an drakxtools, I rebooted then
found same problem had returned mklivecd not creating initrd :(

The ldetect version I have installed in smart is ldetect-lst 0.1.292-1
mdv2012, I noticed ldetect 0.12.1-1-unity2012 is not installed,
when I installed that the initrd is then made, wonder why ldetect is
not installed as a dependency if needed,
whether the iso made will boot I don't know yet,
thanks for help.

The iso made starts booting then fails same as with older udev I
manually downloaded,
it mentions,
detecting usb mass-storage , mdev: /sys/class: no such file or
directory
segmentation fault devices /linuxrc: line 624:umount : : not found
I have also noticed there are 2 versions of libldetect installed in
smart.
