This site still exists though many people are now using the new "UK Vizlsa
Discussion Group" on Facebook &, yes Susie, there is also a North West Viz
Whizz FB group. I believe the move to Facebook was because of the
difficulties many people were having with this site & because so some
forthcoming changes to Google Groups as a whole?
 
The new Facebook site is, currently, a "secret" group so you have to be
"invited" to join & approved by one of the administrators - this is to avoid
rogue members! If anyone wants to join let me know your Facebook "name" &
I'll pass it on to the administrators...

Hi Nikki - long time no see...how's it going?
 
As you probably know there are quite a few Vizsla pages on FB. The NW Viz
Whizz group was originally set up for just that but a number of people use
it for posing questions etc etc. There's also one called Vizsla UK which was
originally started by, I think, Kate Adams. The one that seems to be taking
over from the Google Group specifically is UK Vizsla Discussion Group - as I
said, it's a "secret" group which means that only members can see it...hence
the need to be "invited"!! I've just asked you to "be my friend" on FB...if
you're ok with that (!!), I'll add you to the group though it'll still have
to be approved by one of the administrators.

We're still here too! But I personally find Facebook a much faster and more
enjoyable way to "chat" and share photos etc and there's so much action over
there, I doubt people are duplicating discussions here. But this list is
still live for anyone who wants to use it. It has been problematic for some
of late though - I don't know how far-reaching that is. A sign of the times
that people prefer Facebook's format. And the group there runs under the
same name as here, so you can search it out and request to join very easily!

Mine wasn't my first choice, that was Whiterose (being a Yorkshire lass
originally) and not sure why it wasn't allowed, my other choice was
Blackdale (which was the road we lived in at the time) but that was already
used by someone in Ireland so Highforce was chosen - High Force is the
highest waterfall in the UK (in Co Durham so a tenuous link to the north!!)
and is both spectacular when in full flow as well as beautiful, something I
hope that my dogs are!!

We call our house "The Ranch" as in "see you back at the ranch".
Our first Vizsla's pet name is Csilla and our second is Eszti, both are
Hungarian and mean star.
Our affix is Ranchstar.
