Ruby is 2 years old next month and we are getting an 8 week old Wire
Viz bitch tomorrow and any advice on how to manage 2 ginger nutters
would be greatly appreciated.

We intend to crate the puppy as we did this sucessfully with Ruby. We
have been advised to be careful with supervision etc the first 48
hours too but anything else, words of wisdom would be great.

Many thanks

Louise

Hi Louise
I am sure your email will bring lots of advice from many quarters- my only
comment would be- just watch the play carefully as - big dog playing with
little dog = sometimes bruised shoulders or other joints - so supervise play
carefully and general supervision much longer- your older girl can have the
best temprement in the world- but a baby pup can be a pain at times and it
is not a right of passage for a little one to be accepted straight away it
can take weeks- so do not leave them unattended for a good while.
I agree with the crate- as it allows time out for all. No one should use the
crate as a punishment area as the beauty of it would be lost -but you have
used one before & I am sure you used it in the right manner for your older
girl.
Good luck with your new bundle

Sue
