Квакери служать суспільству шляхом донорства крові / Quakers serve to society by blood donations

Навесні 2025 року українські Квакери долучились до зборів крові для пацієнтів Національного інституту серцево-судинної хірургії імені М.М.Амосова та взяли участь у зборах крові, що проводились місцевими волонтерами у ЖК "Файна Таун" спільно з "Київським обласним центром служби крові" та ДонорUA.
Квакери також долучились до зборів коштів для допомоги організації ДонорUA з метою проведення та організації термінових зборів крові, її логістики та доставки для поранених, серед яких є цивільні та військовослужбовці. Цим опікується наш ко-клерк Артем Денисов.
Допомога цивільним медичним установам у спасінні життя людей, поранених через атаки російських військових під час агресивної війни проти України, є квакерським шляхом мирного свідчення і служіння суспільству, а також ненасильницького спротиву усім видам війни.
Квакери покликані світлом служити людству. Ми віримо, що в кожній людині є іскра Божа, і не стоїмо осторонь там, де можемо проявити співчуття та допомогти жертвам війни. Гуманітарна праця, участь у медичних та екстрених службах, підтримка донорства крові, активний опір війнам та таким потворним актам геноциду, як Голокост, допомога біженцям, порятунок дітей з нацистських концтаборів через "Кіндертранспорт" – це неповний перелік того, чим займалися Друзі, дотримуючись вчення Ісуса: cправжнє щастя в тому, щоб віддавати, а не в тому, щоб брати (Біблія, Дії Апостолів 20:35). Ми тримаємо у Світлі нужденних та діємо у Світлі разом з Господом Богом нашим, що благословляє нас та надає нам сили сміливо дивитися в очі викликам, що постають перед нами.

In spring 2025, Ukrainian Quakers joined the campaign of blood donations for patients of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after M.M. Amosov and participated in the campaign of blood donations held by local volunteers in the Faina Town residential complex in cooperation with the Kyiv Regional Blood Service Center and DonorUA.
Quakers also joined the fundraising to help the DonorUA organization to conduct urgent campaigns of blood donations, their logistics and delivery for the wounded, including civilians and military personnel. Our co-clerk Artem Denysov took care of this endeavor.
The support of civilian medical institutions to save lives of persons wounded by Russian military attacks during the aggressive war against Ukraine is a Quaker way of peace testimony and witness of service to society, as well as nonviolent resistance to all forms of war.
Quakers are called by the Light to serve humanity. We believe there is a sparkle of the Divine in every person, and we don't stand aside where we can be compassionate and help the victims of war. Humanitarian work and relief, medical and emergency services, support of blood donorship, active resistance to wars and such evil acts of genocide as Holocaust, support to refugees, rescue of children from Nazi concentration camps via Kindertransport - this is an incomplete list of what the Friends done, following the teaching of Christ that true happiness is in giving, not in receiving (the Bible, Acts 20:35). We hold in the Light those in need and act under divine guidance, God blesses us and gives us the strength to face with courage the challenges that lie ahead.
