Many thanks for any replies.
Kinda need a bit more info on this, what router are you using, which
ISP, how are you connected to the router, machine spec, etc...
Is it slow finding the site and then loads it quick or does it take a
while to load each image/main text body?
In general (and in personal experience as I run 50 Linux server for an
ISP) Linux should be faster at networking tasks.
Regards
Andrew

Hi Andrew...
Just a guess... but that happens with some distro's i use too,
this may be a similar problem to what i came accross..
what seems to be happening is that the Browser seems to be using IPv6
.. so i typed in the Location bar in Mozilla about:config
scrolled down to where is says something like
network disable ipv6 and change it to ENABLE..
a double-click usually sorts this.
Hope this helps..
Mark
this may help if u run out of things to try..
well, it did for me... the symptoms i got were some pages loading slowly
or not at all,
and some right away. i dont know if this is happening for you, but if
anyone else is interested
i typed about:config in the address bar, scrolled down to where it said
something like
' network.dns..disable.ipv6 ' and double clicked it to swap the value..
- worked a treat. i cant remember much more.. it was a while ago. sorry
David..
i'm a newbie myself really..
good luck ..
Mark
