Hi All!
Our next meeting won't be until October 21st at 1PM (probably in OHR
057, but location is still TBD), but I have a few announcements I
wanted to get out beforehand.
First and foremost, ASCE and KSPE will be hosting a College Night
Bowling social at Southland Lanes on Southland Drive! The social will
be on October 11th (next Tuesday) starting at 9:30 PM. Bowling and
shoes will only be $11 so it's definitely worth it! We're looking in
to ordering some pizzas as well. It will be a great opportunity to
take a break from your studies and come play with good friends!
Second, the Bluegrass Chapter will be having their next meeting at the
Student Center on campus on October 14th (Friday) at noon. Lunch will
be provided, but you will need to sign up the week of so they have an
accurate count. To sign up go to http://www.kspebluegrass.org/ and
enter in the information requested. Under "company" please type UK
Student so they know you are part of the student chapter. This is a
great opportunity to network with professional engineers!
Lastly, Habitat for Humanity will have its main day on October 22nd.
More details will be announced at the next meeting, but I just wanted
everyone to know ahead of time so you can put it in your calendar.
