This is a notice to all engineering students planning to sit for the
Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in the fall of 2011:

The deadline to submit the application for the FE in October 2011 is
August 1st.

You may mail the application directly to the Kentucky State Board of
Engineers and Land Surveyors. Be certain it arrives by the deadline –
they will not accept late applications. Alternatively, you may submit
your application to the Department of Mechanical Engineering by noon
on Friday, July 29th for delivery to the Kentucky Board of Licensure
for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.

Please visit the official website of the Kentucky Board of Engineers
and Land Surveyors, http://kyboels.ky.gov/, for pertinent information
pertaining to the Fundamentals Exam, as well as the application
procedure. Instructions for completing the application are found

Answer questions 1-7 on page 1 (mostly personal information – name,
address, email address, etc.). Keep in mind that whatever address you
use will be where all correspondence from KYBELS will be sent.
Answer questions 9-15 on page 2, skipping question #8 (it pertains to
those applying for the PE)
Complete the education section at the bottom of on page 2 with
tentative graduation date
Skip page 3 (this section is for those applying to take the PE, not
the FE)
Sign at the bottom of page 4, leaving the rest of the page blank.

You may turn in your application in-person to 151 RGAN or fax it to
department at 859.257.3304 once the application is complete. Again,
please remember to sign page 4.

Important notes: Students must obtain the signature of their
department chair (on page 2) prior to submitting the application to
151 RGAN by noon on Friday, July 29, 2011. Be sure to leave enough
time to acquire these signatures since incomplete applications will
not be forwarded to the Kentucky State Board of Engineers and Land
Surveyors. Additionally, incomplete applications will not be
processed by KYBELS.
