Balloon sealing

Hello all,

To those of you that have been able to manufacture your own superpressure balloons - how did you do it? I've been experimenting on and off with various sealing methods for a few months now including impulse sealers, but I haven't been able to get consistency in my results. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi, flown a few homemade SP balloon some years ago, they made several laps around the globe so the technique I used worked well.

Its very simple, In short I used a XXXL mousepad under the balloon film, a baking paper between the iron and the balloon film, used arround 140 - 150°C on the iron, made a templet out of cardboard and drew marker pen arround, smouth curves all way arround as well as on the filling tab/nozzle, attach a few pic for clarety, unfortenately I did not take alot of pics of the process at the time.
