Launch Announcement - Elsworth 26/03/2023

I'm helping someone with a flight out of Elsworth tomorrow. Current plans are to launch on the dot of 11am Local / 10:00 Z

We will be attaching a couple of trackers:

X1 434.310MHz Lora Mode 0 (also 75baud 490shift 7N1 RTTY)

E3 434.450MHz Lora Mode 7

Tracking stations would be most welcome.

BTW: I note that the NOTAM does not appear on NOTAMinfo - but Ive checked the AIS site and the NOTAM is there - so the problem appears down to NOTAMinfo - I've let them know.

LoRa Mode 7, that's one we don't often see Steve?

Just out of interest are you doing Telnet comms, or?

Its a tracker I found at the bottom of my box of trackers (most of which are RTTY and need converting) - I think Antony gave it to me - It certainly works with Lora Mode 7 on the Pi Gateway - It's Atmel MEGA based - I doubt very much if it has any Telnet capability.

I added that mode when I flew a Pi running a telnetd server with some glue to make it accessible over a bi-directional LoRa link, just so I could play Colossal Caves with a balloon ...

Thanks to everyone that tracked today - the payload was a very easy recovery - in a field right near to the road.
