Hi everyone,

We have just released the latest version of dl-fldigi, DL3.1.

This version contains a bug fix for RTTY autoconfiguration, a fix for users behind squid proxies and functionality to upload listener frequency to the database.

It's important that you update to this version as the fix for autoconfiguration required a change on the server as well, so the previous release (DL3.0) will stop working. The old version will issue a notification that an upgrade is available when you start dl-fldigi, and won't display upcoming flights or payloads or be able to autoconfigure until you upgrade.

We will shortly begin planning to remove support for the long-deprecated very old versions of dl-fldigi -- if you haven't upgraded in a long time now is an excellent opportunity to do so!

Thanks for using dl-fldigi!

Hi Andrea,

Any radio that is capable of receiving single side band at 434Mhz should be fine. See http://ukhas.org.uk/guides:tracking_guide

The items you've listed can do this.

Hi Graham,

Yes, this is a recent upgrade. 3.21.50 is a fldigi version number and relates to the underlying software; DL3.1 is the version number for our dl-fldigi port which is what enables the distributed listener functionality. Unfortunately the two version numbers are now kind of catching up, but the DL prefix is what differentiates them.

You have the correct file.

Cheers,

Adam

All,

I'm a little bit confused in relation to the above post concerning DL-FLDIGI upgrades.

Can anyone confirm that this upgrade is recent, as in 'the end of December 2012' ... I have already got version 3.21.50, but the above message indicates that it relates to version 3.1 - surely the version number should go up!
When I download the file from the link I get a file named "dl-fldigi-DL3.1-windows-2abd6a7.exe" - is this the right one?

Thanks,
Graham 'confused of London'.

Hi Adam and Daniel,
I have downloaded the "Dl-Fldigi 3.21.50 HAB mode", and it shows on my desktop, but it will not upload, instead, I get the message:
"Fast Light Digital Modem Application has stopped working.
A problem caused the programme to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available."
I am using a Samsung light with a Windows 8 operating system.

I should also mention that I have been able to download and use the full version of Fldigi (Fldigi 3.21.79) without any problems.

Any help/advice?

Colin.
