Hi all

Could anyone give me a steer on configuring the SSDV uplink on my PITS gateway?

The tracker side appears to be working correctly and going into listen mode for the first 6 seconds of every minute but the gateway isn't sending anything.

I have added the following lines to gateway.txt...

UplinkTime_1=2
UplinkCycle_1=60
UplinkFrequency_1=433.15
UplinkMode_1=2
SSDVUplink_1=Y

...and upon startup it appears to initialise the uplink as can be seen in the screenshot  here:

To test I've tried de-tuning the gateway for a few seconds in order to miss some image packets and then monitoring the frequency on an SDR to check for a transmit but this is where I'm not seeing anything happen.

For what it's worth I'm using the Uputronics LoRa hat on a Pi 3A+.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

Many Thanks

Mark

Looks like Google groups doesn't like images pasted inline... for what it's worth here's the screenshot:

My gateway.txt file has the following entries: (amongst others of course)

EnableSSDV=Y

frequency_1=434.2
mode_1=2
UplinkTime_1=5
UplinkCycle_1=60

Note the frequency and mode do not have "Uplink" before them and there is no SSDVUplink entry.

Have you found the friendly web page yet? :)

Just seen your screenshot. Mine is blue and doesn't have "TEST" in the top left.  It might appear below. This is indoors in mode 0 and the GPS doesn't have a signal.

I have (it's the only reason I know this function exists), but looks like I stopped reading before the python config... I'll let you know how it went once I've done it properly.

Thanks

I slightly butchered Dave's code so I can easily switch between test and flight modes and easily identify which one I'm using. Means I don't have to keep editing the gateway.txt file and risk forgetting to change a setting before flight.
