Hello all,
I would like present to you http://habhub.org/mt/
The webpapp can run on your desktop as well as your smart phone, given you have a modern browser.
You get nearly all the goodness from the spacenear.us tracker, plus chase car functionality. All that in the palm of your hand. /marketing

If you spot a bug or have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to open a ticket at https://github.com/rossengeorgiev/habitat-mobile-tracker/issues

Have you tried the mousewheel?

Cheers,

Costyn.

Update

Minor improvements are now live. For a change log, refer to the github repo commit history.
More importantly, Costyn's suggestion is also available. On mobile devices, the coordinates of any vehicle are clickable. They will launch the appropriate native maps app, pinpointing the location. The intention is to quickly get driving directions.

If you encounter anything weird, please let me know.

Not a lot of use on kit with no mouse, like this laptop with ratpad.

I got a map and baloon track (Guessing from the parachute icon, it was
landing somewhere near "Halenkov") but though I could pan and zoom with
the mouse, no zooming functionality. Odd, as Google Maps has all that
by default I thought? (the scale slider, that normaly lives on the far
left, or is it hidden under the list sidebar?)

Dave G0WBX.

The Github link wouldn't work for me either. F'Fox just sits there
waiting to load the page, that eventually times out.

Dragging and zooming should work using the mouse. The default UI you are talking about, is disabled, perhaps it should be enabled on desktops. The app works on the latest version of Firefox and Chrome.

Perhaps, an addon you have interferces with the app. Alternatively, if you could open the debug console (CTRL+SHIFT+J) and check for any errors.

Github links should work as well.

Still no zooming control.

This PC only has a mousepad, and two buttons, no wheel.

Firefox 18.0.1, Windows 7 32 bit.

NoScript told to allow "All of this page".

Github is working, but very s l o w!
(so unusable.)

Hello all,

The mobile tracker has been updated. I threw away the old Google maps API and put in the latest. This should resolve all map problems on android devices. Generally, the app should feel more responsive on all devices.

Update

The mobile tracker has been updated. I would like to direct your attention to some of the new things, although most changes are related to logic. You can enable an overlay of the daylight cycle, from a button on the top bar. The app has some cache features enabled. This is the first step in the process making it work without a network connection. However, for now it will only cache images and resources required for the interface. This will not only make it launch faster, but preserve your mobile bandwidth in consecutive launches.

Feedback is always welcome!

Quick update

Mobile tracker can now visualize telemetry data. You can access the graph though a button at the botton left corner of the map. Currently, only available on desktops.
