Has anyone here used the Raspberry Pi module 3 camera on a HAB (the one
with autofocus)?

If so any problems/issues.

Yes I have.

I flew it as part of a wenet payload, though I used a fixed focus as I didn't trust the autofocus to work correctly.
As the payload got cold, the focus drifted considerably, resulting in lots of blurry photos. Maybe auto-focus would have worked better?

I've since moved on from the Pi cam 3, and our latest imagery payload uses a PiCam HQ, with a pretty beefy lens in front of it. This produced excellent photos on our last launch, the full set of which is here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/bnwwv7tgowy776z6pww3q/h?rlkey=bzolxm6e33vu02bjm0kpkp1bs&dl=0

Hi Mark

I’m also considering a pi hq camera - I was wondering if you had a recommendation on a specific lens to use?

Thanks,
James
