Interesting stuff. I am a very occasional gamer - largely because david is - and have been thinking for a while about doing a post about all the misogynist in-game names people use. pretty ikky if i honestly made a list. k

Subject: UK Feminist Bloggers: Female gamers
Hi all,
Does anybody read Gamestm? It's a monthly specialist gaming
magazine. Last month it had an article on women in the gaming
industry, which was basically an interview with 3 women.
I would be interested in people's thoughts on it! One of the women
said she'd never encountered any sexism and I got the impression she
trying to fit in with the male centric culture at her workplace and in
the industry - deny there's a problem and become one of the lads sort
of thing.
I've not got the magazine to hand right now or I'd dig out her name.
For the record I am not a gamer, my boyfriend is and he gets the
magazine delivered. i just read the odd article because I'm
fascinated by specialist magazines, and obviously this one caught my
eye.
