He sent this email (below), then followed it up in an IM by saying:
"Doesn't matter how eminent they are, more interested in how
interesting they are. It's funny, we're a feminist organisation in
many ways, but we never talk about feminism and it would be nice to
get some debate going."
Sounds like an interesting opportunity. I SUCK at public speaking
(yeah, some of you have had the opportunity to witness this first hand
:-) ) so I'm not keen to do it really.

Subject: A lecture at Breast Cancer Care
To: Jess McCabe <jess....@gmail.com>
Hi Jess,
Hope you're well. I've got something which I hope you might be able
to help me with. This year at Breast Cancer Care we've started a
series of lectures where we ask various interesting types who are
willing to give up their time for us to come and speak to our managers
and staff, for around 45 minutes to an hour. Earlier this year we had
a visit from an innovation company named What If? and this autumn we
will have talks from Iwona Blazwick (director of the Whitechapel
Gallery) and Hope Powell (coach of the England womens; football team).
I have been thinking that it would be interesting to have someone come
and talk to us about contemporary feminism. 85% of our staff are
female and my perception is that we are a feminist organisation in
many ways, but that it's not something we really vocalise or reflect
upon very often.
I just wondered if there was anyone you could think of who might be
willing to come and speak to us and who might fit the bill.
Thanks for your time and take care,
Alex
