I finished my first prototype for the new µKenbak-1 kit.  It's a solid little guy.

looks great but one concern ( I don't mean to be so negative all the time ) were is the switch  that controls lock/unl

It does not exist on the nanoKenbak-1 or µKenbak-1, only the full-size version.

That is so cute. I particularly love the extruded aluminum ends.

Not bad but the side rails are too large for the body of the case. They're out of proportion.

sorry for the harshness to be honest I don't know a lot about the functions of a kenbak one and thought the switch was a key part

Sorry! I thought you were showing it for us to comment on it. If it's set in stone (or aluminum) then that's the way it is.
I have too much respect for you to deliberately offend you. I frequently offend people by accident, however.
I'm much more comfortable talking to machines in their own language than talking to people.

I kept the sides to the original specs (except for the length) to keep the detail and "structural integrity" of them.  Making the aluminum sides 1:2 scale resulted in them easily breaking, and honestly a bit ugly.  Sorry I let me feeling hurt, I guess that's what happens when I comment right before bed! :)
