looking for documentation

hi,
i've been playing around with ukelele for the last couple of days
and i cant get it to work properly ... 
when i save the file and take it as input source, the keys i've assign certain outputs to don't give me the output ...
i've tried working with deadkeys ...
maybe i don't save it properly ... with the "leave" buttons and all that.
sry i'm a hardcore noob with this rn.

anybody has a proper user guide at hand? 
it seems there's nothing rly on their website.

i've looked into this but it seems to be treating an older version.

It’s good that you found the group to ask for help!

The PDF manual, which has a Quick Start section, is under the Help menu inside Ukelele.

When you create a custom layout, it’s not enough to save it:

You have to install it using the "Organiser" (see section 6.9 in the manual) and then activate it in the System Preferences>Keyboard>Input Sources

(Just guessing what may have been the obstacle.)
