The option«Export Installer Disk Image» is greyed out after modifying keymap, but before that, it is visible.
I'm currently using Sonoma 14.7.4
Thank you in advance.

Switch to the .bundle window before exporting.
(That’s just a guess; I’m not sure if you are editing a .keylayout file or a .bundle?)

Great!

You probably know this, but anyway:
• You only need to create an installer disk image if you want to share your custom keyboard layout with people who don’t have Ukelele installed.
• It’s best practice to use the new keyboard layout for a while, i.e. finalize it as much as possible, before sharing it. This is because sending people multiple consecutive versions can easily lead to confusion, especially if the versions have the same name.

Thank you Gé van Gasteren. Yes I did know that, but thank you for reiterating it.
After installing the newly created keymap in macOS Sonoma 14.7.4 and selecting it, it works perfectly. However, the system does not allow me to delete the original keymap (Spanish) on which I based the new one (which has a unique name). Is there a way to delete the original map from the macOS?

Have you logged out your user and back in?
After that, you should be able to remove layouts from the list shown in the drop-down menu.
You can’t really delete or uninstall system layouts, you can only deactivate them by clicking on the minus symbol in the panel:

You are correct. After logging out and logging back in, it allows removing the original keymap.
When sharing the Installer Disk Image with other people who install the new keymap, will it will work even with their internal keyboard on a MacBook? I created it on a Mac Mini, which only as external keyboards. Thank you again for such a great program you created for us.

Yes, keyboard layouts work with whatever hardware keyboard is attached to the computer.

Great, thanks for the feedback!

Yes, certainly. As John has just posted: When you activate a keyboard layout, it is used by macOS for all connected keyboards, internal as well as external.

Thank you again for such a great program you created for us.

I agree that this is one useful program!
It has been developed by John Brownie, who has a dayjob at SIL and spends a sizeable chunk of his spare time on maintaining Ukelele.
