Dear UKCP Scotland members

As ever, I have lots of (potentially) free books for you to read and keep: however there is one small thing to do in return (as nothing is ever totally free) - to write a short (600-800 word) book review. You get to read the book; having written a review you get your name in print; you get a newly published book of your choice; and you may even be able to claim some CPD points.

Please look at the following list of books and let me know which of them might interest you.
For more information about the books, please check the links.
I can then either send it to you, or deliver it to you if you live in, near or around Edinburgh.

Yours
Courtenay Young

[NB: Inclusion of a book on this listing means that we have already been sent the actual book for reviewing; it does not guarantee that a review will be published soon, as we are totally dependent on the interest of our reviewers.]

If you are interested in reviewing any one of the above books for the IJP; and if you have reviewed books before; or if you are psychotherapy training and fancy writing a book review; please contact us here and we will send you a newly-published review copy of the book.
We usually expect a review to be written within about a month.
Having written the review and had it checked out so that it is ready for publication, you then get to keep the book for yourself!

We have recently been informed that short book reviews (600-800 words) now do not have to be refereed ('double-blind peer-reviewed').

We also hope to build-up similar facilities soon for books and reviewers in other languages and from other countries. Please see also the IJP website page on Book Review Editors, here
