Dear All

Happy New Year!

A policy group has been set up, and I’m sure they will be looking to developing a communication strategy that means we all feel included and informed.
However, we talked about a meeting of the larger group in February, and Salma (I think) suggested we meet in Dundee.
Could this happen?

Suggestions and/or offers? For a date, venue, topic, agenda or whatever……?

Regards
Mary

Dear Mary and Everyone

The Public Policy Forum (Scotland) is meeting on 21st February in Glasgow.  Could we plan a “big” meeting in March or April?

If someone can suggest a venue in Perth, that would be a good central meeting place (except for those live south of the central belt).

Regards

Alastair

Hi All – communication and how we keep members informed and involved is a key part of the work on the 21st.  Early thoughts are more local focus groups to disseminate and collect thinking (allowing more local discussion) – we can certainly look at a central meeting alongside or instead of.

best wishes

Sheila

Hi Mary and All,
There was a Psychotherapy Council meeting moderated by Sally Foster on last Saturday 18th Janurary and Selma formally represented the Scottish Group Edie Irwin and I were also there. There was discussion on the new CPD policy, the upcoming consultation on Central Complaints Process and how people are experiencing it and gaps they see in its first year of operation plus discussion on Fitness to Practice and titles and descriptors. Overall a worthwhile day in Birmingham.
I am wondering if the group has a second rep forgot to ask Selma now that Courtenay has stepped back?

Dear All
It would make sense to delay a general meeting until March to give the Public Policy Forum (Scotland) a chance to bed down, but could we think about a date and venue so that we have lots of notice? That would also be an opportunity to nominate/elect a second rep for the Council if no-one else has as yet stepped forward.

Regards
Mary
