Liz, I am an experienced psychotherapist working in Edinburgh, and have a lot of experience of supporting people off of antidepressants.

Get in touch if you’d like to discuss it further, or you’re welcome to give the client my contact details.

Best wishes,

Colin White

Dear Liz,

I would recommend Brion Sweeney, director of Tara Trust, 12 Marchhall Crescent, EH16. (www.tararokpa.org)  He is recently retired as  consultant psychiatrist in Dublin and is now resident in Edinburgh.  Although he travels quite a bit, he is a specialist in substance abuse and all matters regarding regulation of psychiatric medication and its use in combination with psychothaerapy.

With all best wishes,

Edie Irwin

Many thanks to everyone that has responded. I’ll pass on contact details to the young woman. Great to have so much experience in Edinburgh of transitioning off meds,

Best wishes

Liz

Hi Liz
This does not answer your query but I wonder if you could get in touch with me about family therapy.
I manage Relationships Scotland Central and would like to go for funding to offer this within my service.
We cover the whole of Forth Valley and the Management and Administration is based in Falkirk.
Where do you live?  Could you come to Falkirk at all and see the centre and what we do??
My work email is m...@relationships-scotlandcccs.org.uk if you want to get in touch.
many thanks

May
