Dear colleagues,
Please find attached official response from DFID SoS following the APPMG letter sent ahead of NTD Summit. As you may recall this letter was drafted by members of the UK Coalition EWG after a closed APPMG meeting with UK parliamentarians supported by the UK Coalition. This letter was subsequently signed by all APPMG Officers and additional parliamentary members calling on increased support for NTDs by the UK Government in the run up to the NTD Summit. The letter dated 17th April lays out the DFID funding announcement on NTDs that was launched on 16th April Easter Sunday.
The letter showed significant parliament support for UK aid investment to NTDs. Definitely something to celebrate!
Best regards,
Aparna
