Subject: #NTDSummit17 Day 2: New WHO Report, Industry Statement & Awards Galore!

Hi all,

It’s incredible how much this community achieved on just the first day of the NTD Summit. Yesterday, global leaders from government, philanthropy and the pharmaceutical industry came together to discuss global progress against NTDs since the London Declaration, and the partnerships that powered that progress. If you weren’t able to join in person, here are some quick ways to engage:

?         Retweet RTI’s photo from this event, or share your own with the hashtag #beatNTDs

?         Tweet a GIF from the data visualization unveiled at the event, which illustrates the incredible scale and impact of NTD programs

Today’s the main event – from the WHO Global Partners Meeting on NTDs to the Women in Focus Awards, there’s much more to look forward to.

Just a few hours ago, the WHO officially launched its Fourth Report on NTDs, which details NTD successes and charts a path forward. The report, along with events in Geneva, has already been covered in over 20 top-tier outlets, including the BBCReutersBloomberg and CNN

Help us celebrate on social media!

?         Retweet this short video that shows that while NTDs may be difficult to pronounce, they are easy to treat: You'd feel less bad about not being able to pronounce these NTDs if they no longer existed, right? Let's work to see the end of them by 2020 pic.twitter.com/ZQTHKcYQuq

?         Share this blog by Bill Gates on how NTDs triggered the biggest drug donation in world history – big enough to earn a Guinness World Record.

?         Retweet Uniting’s post on a few remarkable Women in Focus Award nomineesThese amazing women were affected by NTDs and are now helping defeat them:http://buff.ly/2puEt7p pic.twitter.com/jBTI1tFIfH #NTDSummit17

?         Tweet the digital version of the WHO’s Gallery of Success, a poster exhibit on NTD progress that will be featured during today’s partners meeting: Amazing @WHO gallery shows the reach and impact of NTD programs around the world: http://bit.ly/2o9vMvz Check it out! #BeatNTDs
