Turn on VFO IND in the config menu, this allows VFO a and VFO B to be on
different bands
on 500 use either the rx antenna input or the xverter input to bypass
the High pass filter that rolls off below 160M to protect the TX stages
from (very) local AM broadcast stations
GB4FPR is a good 559 here and worked them on 502/502 with my K3 driving
a modified beacon TX to a 1/4 wave end fed wire

Hi Graham,
Cracking signal here in East Lancashire (IO83vp) as per usual, just
listening to you now (2130utc) trying to work an OK2 station on 502
kHz. Pity it wasn't last Saturday, I was stood in your shack playing
on those morse keys, great shack and great location by the way!:-)
Got lots of photos anyway, including that 502 TX. I was over in the
area today, but the closest I got was the Mersey Ferry, I could see
the Fort but we didn't have time to get up there this time, maybe next
year.
Good luck with IMD.
73 for now, Alan, G4TMV.
