At 1600 KMt , this set a distance record for a live rtty
qso on 500 , using ROS-MF-1 & 7 Halldor reporting good copy on
502 , with reception on 80 mtrs at g0nbd , disrupted by other
traffic on the 80 mtr back link
At one point Gary G4WGT was using email to QSP , when I failed to
acquire lock .. however , the system worked !
Later in the week Gary also had a qso with Halldor , using ros-
mf-1 and ros 2KHz HF - 4 as the return link
In an exchange of emails with Jose (Mr Ros) it became apparent
that running 'two' sessions of 'ROS' on the same PC can degrade
performance ... with this in mind , its advisable, if operating
cross band, to use ROS MF-7 as the HF return mode , each
station , then only needing to run 'one' session , Ros-mf-7
offering some 10 to 12 dB signal level over PSK-31.
Off air copy was recived by email also from France and Italy,
which makes also the first qsl from Italy for me !
