The trick is when prompted for your number don't type anything in,
remain silent. The voice then asks you to try again, and again you must
type in nothing. Then you get past the validation thing and on to the
menu structure.

Success rerport as a result of email:
My wife was contacted yesterday by Orange who advised that the outstanding
dosh has now credited to her bank account.
They don't seem to be able to grasp, though, that you may be talking to
them on a phone that isn't with Orange.
