Anyone else find it ironic that Virgin Mobile's Press Officer
has a Cellnet Mobile phone number and the Head of Media Relations
has a One2one number ? <g>

No it's not, it's one2one!. Are you trying to tell me my mate with a one2one
brick isn't actually on one2one? Nah, didn't think so. Get your bloody facts
right, amateur.

The PR agency people seem to have actual Virgin numbers...

err , virgin mobile are half owned by one2one. They use the
one2one network. I would be unsurprised if they shared the same
mobile prefix.

That said my experience is that virgin seem to have been
lumbered with the less memorable numbers

cheers

I think we are assuming ONO (original network operator) Or CNO (current

Yup. That's why I originally used the phrases "Cellnet number"
and "One2one number". I didn't imply they're not using the
Virgin network, but it's still not a very good advert for their
company, is it?

I doubt Virgin are owned by them, but mearly rent network "time" from them for
thier own services.

I think Virgin was a great idea, but only because of OVP.

virgin mobile is a 50:50 venture between one2one and virgin group so in a
way they are owned by one2one.

In fact one2one DO have a 50% stake in virgin mobile. Its
typical of a richard branson deal. Another company puts up most
of the cash and expertise , he gives them the virgin brand. Seen
it a hundred times before.

Main reason is that Branson is struggling to stay afloat so all
these deals where he doesnt have to put up much cash are pretty
sweet for him. He needs all the money from his few profitable
businesses to keep virgin cola and our price afloat.
