Hi,

I can't get my IPAQ 4150 to connect to the internet using bluetooth to
my P900. I want to use a GPRS connection to orangeinternet.

I can link the phone and the IPAQ but when I try to connect to the
internet it fails.

I've done a search but can't find any working instructions. The
closest I've got is at
"http://www.rittman.net/stories/2003/07/08/bluetoothAndGprsWithTheHpIpaq5450AndNokia6310i.html"

I've tried following this (adjusting it for my models) but it still
doesn't work.

Has anyone got any instructions on how to do this? I used to have an
old IPAQ model and a T68i and this combination worked fine.

Thanks

Kevin

k reckoned that...

I use a H3870 and a P900. Pair the P900 and the iPaq. Set the P900 as
bluetooth dial-up modem from "bluetooth manager" on the ipaq. Make a new
connection with *99# as dial up number, username and password blank.
Remember to clear all the crap out of the dialling rules (Captil G in
every box) so it doesn't put area codes in front of the dial string. And
that was that. It worked first time and still does.

Do you need to tell it which GPRS connection to use though? I
currently have a special string in the advanced bit of the IPAQ setup
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","orangeinternet"

Do I not need this? (I've tried with and without it and still
couldn't get it to work)

No, I am aware of the dial string but I don't use it.

Do you only have one GPRS connection on your phone, maybe? I have
several (for different networks) so I need to somehow tell it which
one to use.

If you want to tell it which one to use then you dial *99***x# where x
is the data account number you want to use. There are 3 GPRS connections
on my handset, it just so happens that the internet one is account
number 1, hence no need for dial string.

Does anyone know how to setup a Palm Tungsten T2 to O2 Online PAYG in a
Nokia 6230?

That's what I used to do on my T68(i) but the connections had a CID
number which indicated which was which. Maybe the P900 just has them
in order - I'll try it.

I actually got it working now - it brings up a list of connections and
you have to tap-hold and select connect. Before I was just clicking
and selecting OK which didn't work.

Thanks for your help
