I know it's OT but I know a few of you here use it, has anyone experienced
problems with the www.despammed.com system today..?

I can't log on to the site and mail I know has been sent to my
despammed.com address isn't arriving.

Sadly, this is also happening to me. The mail forwarding was working
yesterday though.

I've used it for months and it was working perfectly until today.

Earlier this week the german server was refusing to allow posts with a
despammed address[1] but it does seem OK at the moment.

[1] Addresses (at least the domain) are verified before the post is
accepted.

I can't connect to them either. Doesn't despammed.com just throw away
incoming mail which it believes to be junk? I know that mail sent to
my despammed.com account from one particular friend never makes it
through. I assume that they believe his ISP is a junk mailer, so they
just dump his mail items.

Last Saturday it was giving me the following error while trying to
post.

"Error reported by Server: 441 From: domain part of your address is
not resolvable (chris...@despammed.com)."

Yes, it seems to be having some problems over the last day or so.

Yes, and they do warn you that there may be false positives.

I wouldn't use them as my main address, but they are ideal for NG postings,
both filtering Spam and hiding your real address

Which is all I want it for. However, I can't get into the web site (it
reports either "Connection refused" or "Connection timed out") nor has
mail I know to have been sent been forwarded to my main account and I
don't know if it's been lost or not.

In article <bskr4h$s94$1...@newsg3.svr.pol.co.uk>,
this.a...@notvalid.inv says...

I had the same idea. I tried to register a few days ago when the website
was up. It just gave a server error which meant "there's an error of
some sort but we don't know what it is".

Steve.

Well it seems to be back on as of this morning (Sunday) but no explanation
on the website of where it's been and why.

Perhaps it was off on it's Christmas hols..?!
