Can anyone tell me whether sms.ac is a con? I signed up yesterday but
I keep getting messages from random people and I'm worried I might be
being charged to receive them. How do I find out if I'm being
charged? I'm with Orange PCS.

By the look of this thread over at Digital Spy, you're not the only person
concerned about sms.ac:
http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=144088

Hopefully the info there will be of some help to you. I'm guessing you might
be able to call Orange up and ask them about the charges on your account.

It certainly is, they use spam-methods (get contacts from your address list
on your computer) to e-mail and try sign up for their service. Stay away
