MOBILE PHONE/PDA INSURANCE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
NOTE: This insurance can cover mobile phones or PDA's (Personal Data
Assistant - ie Palm computers). For PDA cover, all references to SIM are
non-applicable

Your mobile phone/PDA is covered for:

A. Accidental Damage
We will pay repair costs if your mobile phone/PDA is damaged as the
result of an accident. If it cannot be repaired or if we decide it is not
economical to repair, we will replace it.
B. Theft
· If your mobile phone/PDA is stolen we will replace it
· If part or parts of your mobile phone/PDA are stolen we will replace
that part or those parts. If a replacement part is not available we will
replace it.
C. Loss
If you lose your mobile phone/PDA we will replace it.

D. Fraudulent Calls
We will cover you for the cost of fraudulent calls made on your phone
after it was stolen, and before it was reported as stolen to the Police and
the network provider (who will then block the phone), so long as this is
within 12 hours of the phone being stolen. We will cover you for calls up to
the value of £100. This is in addition to the maximum of £400 per claim.

E. International Cover
You are covered for up to 60 days outside of the UK, anywhere in the
world, so long as your phone was purchased in the UK.

F. Extended Warantee
If your phone breaksdown through normal use, we will repair it.

G. Water Damage
If you phone suffers water damage, we will pay repair costs, if your
mobile phone/PDA is damaged as the result of an accident. If it cannot be
repaired or if we decide it is not economical to repair, we will replace it.

Replacement
If you mobile phone/PDA cannot be replaced with an identical model
phone, we will replace it with one of equivalent specification or of
equivalent value

What we will cover
The most we will pay for any single claim is £400. This amount being
the price of the unit without connection (PWC)

Your mobile phone/PDA is not covered for
1 Loss or theft:

a.. From any commercial vehicle, convertible or soft topped vehicle;
a.. From any motor vehicle where you or someone acting on your behalf
is not in the vehicle, unless the mobile phone/PDA has been concealed in a
locked boot, locked glove compartment or other locked internal compartment
and all the vehicles security systems have been activated;
a.. From any type of transport except as permitted above;
a.. From any building, land or premises unless force, resulting in
damage to the building or premises, was used to gain entry or exit;
a.. From your control or the control of any member of your immediate
family who has the mobile with your permission, except where it has been
concealed either on or about the person and not left unattended, or the use
of physical force or violence against the person has been used or
threatened;
a.. Where the mobile phone/PDA has been left unattended
2 Loss or damage caused by:

a.. You deliberately damaging or neglecting the mobile phone/PDA;
a.. Not following the manufacturers instructions;
a.. Routine servicing, inspection, maintenance or cleaning;
a.. The use of accessories
a.. If the serial number, also known as the IMEI have been tampered
with or warranty seal broken;
3 Repair or other costs for:

a.. Loss caused by a manufacturers defect or recall of the mobile
phone/PDA;
a.. Replacement of or adjustment to fittings, control knobs or
buttons, batteries or aerials;
a.. Repairs carried out by persons not authorised by us;
a.. Wear and tear or gradual deterioration of performance
4 SIM. Any loss involving a SIM card whether it is stolen, damaged or
used without authority.
5 Loss of business. Any expense incurred as a result of not being able
to use the mobile phone/PDA, or any loss other than the repair or
replacement cost of the mobile phone/PDA unless relating to unauthorised
calls up to a maximum of £100.
6 Excess. The first £25 of each theft/repair claim, £50 of each loss
claim.
7 Accessories. Loss of or damage to accessories of any kind unless
they are stolen while attached to the mobile phone/PDA at the same time as
the mobile phone/PDA is lost or stolen.
8 External electrical cause Any loss or damage caused by failure of
any electrical or computer equipment, software, micro-controller, microchip,
accessories or associated equipment to correctly recognise and process any
calendar date or time.
9 Original SIM. If the original SIM was not in the handset at the time
if the incident
10 Reconnection costs. Costs of reconnection or subscription fees of
any time.

Conditions and limitations
1. Unless we have agreed differently with you, English law and the
decisions of English courts will govern this insurance.
2. This insurance only covers a mobile phone/PDA bought and used in
the UK, the Isle of Man and The Channel Islands. Cover is extended to
include use of the mobile phone/PDA anywhere in the world up to a maximum of
60 days in total, in any single 12 month period. Theft must be reported to
the local police within 24 hours, and reported to the Service Provider
within 12 hours, of discovery of the loss. If the mobile phone/PDA is
damaged any repairs must be carried out in the UK by repairers approved by
us. You must pay the first £75 of any claim for any theft, loss or damage
under this extension.
3. You must provide us with any receipts or proof of purchase, that it
is reasonable for us to request.
4. This insurance may be altered, varied or its conditions altered or
premium changed by one of our authorised officials, giving you 30 days
notice in writing after the initial minimum 3 months.
5. We may cancel the policy by giving you 30 days notice in writing.
6. This insurance is automatically cancelled if
-You do not pay the premium for this insurance
- you submit a claim knowing it to be false, fraudulent or a
misrepresentation.
7. You cannot transfer the insurance to someone else or another mobile
phone/PDA without our written permission.
8. You must take all reasonable precautions to prevent any loss or
damage.
9. Cover excludes costs or payments recoverable from any party, under
the terms of any other contract, guarantees, warranty or insurance.
10. 2U Insurance insures phones/PDA up to 3 months old with valid
proof of purchase

Claims Procedure
Contact 2U Insurance on 0871 220 50 55.
1. You must;
· Notify us as soon as possible but in any event within 48hours of any
claim under this insurance.
· Report the theft/loss of the mobile phone/PDA within 12hours of
discovery to the Airtime Provider, and have the phone blacklisted, and
within 24hours of discovery to the Police to obtain a crime/loss reference
number.
· Provide us with details of the claim and any other contract,
guarantee, warranty or insurance that may apply including but not limited to
household insurance. Where appropriate a proportion of the claim may be
recovered direct from these Insurers.
2. If we replace your mobile phone/PDA the damaged or lost item
becomes ours. If it is returned or found, you must notify us and send it to
us if we ask you to.

WARNING
We will process your claim under these terms and conditions contained
within this policy relating to the reason first notified to us for the
claim. If your claim is not covered and you then submit a claim having
changed the reason, this could be considered as fraud.

Complaints Procedure
We are proud of our reputation for fairness in our treatment of our
customers. However occasionally disputes or misunderstandings can arise.
Any enquiry or complaint should be addressed to The Customer Services

If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, or you are still
