I have seen an offer for a free Vodafone sim:
http://www.themobilerepublic.com/viewoffer.asp?did=1905
This offer gives a rebate of line rental for 12 months (£30 for 1st 6
months and £15 for remaining).
Has anyone tried this? It sounds too good to be true. Although you don't
get a handset with it, it's seems a good offer for the free minutes.
Thanks.
It seems a little misleading as it says:
"This sim card gives you 200 minutes of calls to any mobile, anytime of the
day. For a limited period we are subsidising the line rental in full for
the full twelve months"
I would assume that that meant you get 200minutes each month for free (after
rebate)
However to get a full rebate you have to change down to a £15 p/month tariff
(anytime 30?) after 6 months. So in reality I presume you only get 6 x 200
mins + 6 x 30mins.
Still seems a good deal but imho a bit misleading?

See my web page (URL below) - I list the deal there as well but also
offer a word of warning regarding deals like this where you get rebated
on a monthly basis.
This warning seems to be backed up by recent evidence from
www.mobil-one.com and, before that, Mobiles Made Easy.
For what it's worth, I've used both Mobil-One and MME without a problem
so it's not a case of the company's history giving you any clues to the
future.
That said, it's a cracking deal. However, you can get £250 cashback and
a free phone (Motorola T720i or Samsung A800) from E2Save if you choose
the TMobile equivalent tariff - E2Save is (apparently) now owned by CPW
so the cashback is far less likely to disappear down the plughole along
with the company.

Where can I find this deal?
