When I purchased a phone on a Mobileshop deal it included insurance
and it seemed, from what I read, that signing up the insurance was a
mandatory part of the deal even though you could cancel it at any time
according to the blurb.
Is there any commitment at all in relation to this in order to fulfil
the deal's requirements ( money back etc.)?
I have had the insurance over the 2 weeks cancellation time but I am
not at al interested in it as I have had a mobile phone since they
were bricks and have never smashed one or lost one - so why pay
insurance?
I want to cancel - any consequences if I cancel before the 3 months
free is up?

Same here, cancelled the direct debit as soon as it was set up, what a con
forcing it on you. The T&Cs seem to suggest you must take it but you can
cancel, so this shouldn't affect the cashback.

its just like the cashback really... they are hoping you will forget
to cancel...
